Belgium international Thorgan Hazard is set to leave Borussia Monchengladbach during the summer transfer window when he is widely expected to join Borussia Dortmund.
Eden Hazard’s brother has enjoyed a steady rise to full prominence in the Bundesliga and will be sorely missed at Monchengladbach who have already started working on his direct replacement.
And according to the reports coming from Sky Sports Germany, the Bundesliga side have identified Leanrdo Trossard as a possible successor to Thorgan Hazard.
The 24-year-old Belgian winger has been with Genk since 2012. Various loan spells from 2013 to 2016 helped him gain valuable first-team experience and Trossard has this season emerged as one of the key players to Belgium heavyweights both in the domestic championship and in the Europa League.
The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and AS Monaco among others are all said to be extremely interested in his services but the reports from Germany claim that Borussia Monchengladbach have emerged as frontrunners for his signature.
The Bundesliga club are said to be preparing a €14 million bid for the highly-rated winger.
