Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach have completed the signing of defender Havard Nordtveit from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee.
The Norwegian defender failed to make an impact at the Emirates Stadium after joining the club in 2007.
The 20-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the German side.
“It’s my goal to play as much as possible,” Nordtveit told the club’s official website.
“I will do my utmost to break into the starting XI and will give everything to help the club forward.
“Monchengladbach have had some defensive problems, but I’m hopeful that we’ll return to winning ways after the winter break.”
