According to a recent report from The Telegraph, Jeremy Ngakia is attracting interest from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 19-year-old full back, who made five appearances for West Ham United in the Premier League this season, allowed his contract to run down before leaving the East London club in order to explore free agency.
It always did seem likely that he’d head abroad after his time in the top flight of English football, but there are certainly still more than a few question marks surrounding where he’ll eventually end up.
West Ham’s academy used to be one of the key factors behind their growth and success as a club, but in the last few years, more and more youngsters have opted to look elsewhere for first team football.
Now, the mission needs to be based around proving that they can be an elite level team once again – otherwise, this will continue to happen.
