Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund have moved to deny reports linking Robert Lewandowski with a summer exit from Signal Iduna Park.
The Polish striker started the season as a replacement for star forward Lukas Barrios, but his impressive performances helped him keep his place in the side even after the Paraguayan returned into action after recovering from injury.
The 23-year-old played a major part in Borussia’s title defence and has recently seen his name linked with a number of high-profile clubs.
However, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc explains that Lewandowski will stay at Signal Iduna Park at least for one more season.
“Lewandowski will play again in Dortmund next season, at least for one more year,” Zorc told Sky.
The Polish international has a contract until June 2014 with the Bundesliga champions, but he could be sold at the end of next season.
Lewandowski has largely impressed in the latest Bundesliga campaign, scoring 20 goals and creating 10 assists in 33 league games.
