Brazilian Serie A side Botafogo have gone public about their desire to sign Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf.
The long serving midfielder will be out of contract at the end of the season and he has become increasingly frustrated with Milan chiefs for not yet sorting out his future.
The Dutchman is reportedly keen on a move to Brazil, with Botafogo emerging as favourites for his signature.
“Botafogo are counting on the player’s desire to play and live in Rio,” Botafogo President Mauricio Assumpao told TV Globo.
“Seedorf is married to a Brazilian and has a house in Rio.
“We have a marketing strategy already worked out to satisfy our financial needs and the player’s too.”
