In what could be a lively encounter on Friday night, a resurging Alloa will welcome the runaway league leaders to the Indodrill Stadium.

Starting with the hosts, while Alloa might still find themselves stuck in the relegation play-off spot, few across Scotland would have expected what has been a remarkable rise for the Wasps. Picking up a 1-1 draw away at promotion hopefuls Inverness last week, Peter Grant’s men find themselves in the midst of a five-match unbeaten run that stems back to the 21st of December. With the mood in their camp the highest it has been this season and simply looking to extend their Championship status this year, Alloa picked up a 2-0 win over Arbroath in their last appearance at the Indodrill Stadium.

As for the visitors, while Dundee might still sit firmly in pole position to secure a Premiership return this year, United could only slump to what was a shock 1-0 defeat against Arbroath on home soil last week. Now in the midst of a four-match winless run across all formats and enduring their most sluggish patch of the season so far, Head Coach Robbie Neilson will be calling on his side to find some much-needed stability at the back. Dundee have failed to record a clean sheet in any of their previous five appearances, a run that stems back to the 4th of January. With six of the last seven meetings between Alloa and Dundee seeing both teams find the net, we’re backing a similar outcome on Friday.
