Two sides who have struggled with their form at the end of the season, Lyon will travel to the Stade Matmut-Atlantique on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of a 2-1 loss away at Nimes last weekend, Bordeaux appears to have slipped back to their old ways following their 2-0 victory over Marseille earlier in the month. Coming off the back of a pair of defeats and with just one win to their name since the middle of February, there is no doubt that Paulo Sousa will be glad to make a return to the Stade Matmut-Atlantique on Friday. While they might have to settle for a bottom half finish in Ligue 1 this season, Bordeaux have undoubtedly saved their best performances for home soil. Friday’s hosts have lost just one matchup in front of their own supporters since October.

As for the visitors, much like Bordeaux, Lyon have also ended their season on a disappointing note. Although they might be coming off the back of a 2-1 win at home to Angers last weekend, Bruno Génésio’s side have lost three of their previous four outings. Holding just a three-point buffer from losing their automatic spot in next year’s Champions League, it will be their continued defensive issues giving Génésio the biggest headache. Lyon have remarkably recorded just a single Ligue 1 clean sheet since the end of January. With their last four matches on the bounce seeing both teams find the net in 90 minutes, we’re expecting a similar outcome on Friday night.
