Once again turning our attention to the Belarusian Premier League this weekend, league leaders FC Slutsk will look to continue on their eye-catching run of form when they make the trip to Dinamo Minsk in what could be a lively contest on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Dinamo Minsk may have opened the new campaign with back-to-back defeats against their cross-town rivals and Ruh Brest, the Whites have begun to show some much-needed signs of improvement. Picking up what was a deserved 3-1 victory away at Smolevichy-STI last weekend and now picking up nine points out of a possible 12, Leonid Kuchuk’s men once again have their sights set on securing a lucrative Europa League finish this year. Really starting to shine in the final third and bagging at least a pair of strikes in each of their last three victories, Dinamo Minsk have also managed to land back-to-back victories on home soil. Picking up a 2-1 win the last time they faced off against Saturday’s guests at the Stadyen Traktar last season, Kuchuk’s side will be looking to extend on their recent purple patch this weekend.

As for the visitors, despite only just managing to hold onto their Premier League status thanks to a four-point buffer last season, there is no doubt that Slutsk have shocked many with their start this time around. Grabbing an 88th-minute winner against Belshina last weekend and also continuing to show a real clinical edge in the final third, the Blues have collected 10 points out of a possible 12 over the past month and have lost just one of their opening six appearances this season. Climbing to the top of the table and enjoying their most eye-catching run in recent memory, Slutsk have also shown some real strengths while on their travels. Including back-to-back 3-2 and 2-1 victories against Isloch and European outfit Shakhtyor, Saturday’s guests are unbeaten in each of their last seven appearances on the road.
