Competition: Scottish Premiership playoff
Market: Both teams to score
Odds: 4/5 @ Bet 365
Two sides looking to secure a Premiership return for next season, Inverness will welcome Dundee to the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium on Tuesday night.
Starting with the hosts, while Inverness would have been disappointed to have not secured a spot in the final of this year’s FA Cup, John Robertson’s side will head into Tuesday’s semi-final with some much-needed momentum. Enjoying a four-match unbeaten run at the end of the season, Caledonian secured their spot in the semi-final with a thumping 4-1 aggregate victory against Ayr over the weekend. While Tuesday’s hosts have clearly shown some improvements in the final third, Robertson will be looking for his side to improve on their recent performances on home soil. Inverness have recorded just a single victory in their last five matches in front of their own supporters and have recorded just two home clean sheets since the middle of January.
As for the visitors, while Dundee may have suffered a surprise 1-0 loss away at Greenock in their final Championship matchup, it has been a bright campaign for Robbie Neilson’s side. Securing a second place finish and looking to end their three-year spell outside of the top-flight, fans around Tannadice Park will be looking for leading goalscorer Pavol Safranko to carry on his bright end to the year. Bagging three in his last five, the 24-year-old also found the net in Dundee’s victory at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium last month. With six of the previous eight matchups seeing both teams find the net after 90 minutes, we’re backing another lively encounter on Tuesday night.
