Competition: Premier League

Looking to cause what would be an upset on their travels this weekend, Watford will make the trip to Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
Starting with the hosts, while Leeds might have taken a first-half lead against West Ham last weekend, it was another afternoon to forget for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. Throwing away the lead and hit with a last-gasp 2-1 defeat on home soil, the Whites are in the midst of a worrying start to the 2021/22 campaign. Despite managing to just about extend on their EFL Cup run away at Championship side Fulham earlier in the month, the one-time Napoli boss is yet to see his side pick up a single Premier League win so far this season. While Leeds might have gained a host of plaudits when making their top-flight return, Saturday’s hosts have once again shown some real issues at the back. Although a high-flying Raphinha might be enjoying a free-scoring purple patch, it should be noted that Leeds have recorded just a single clean sheet at Elland Road in their last seven attempts.
As for the visitors, while Watford might have thought they had a golden chance on home soil last weekend, the Hornets had to settle for what was a sluggish point in the capital. Despite coming from behind to grab a 1-1 draw off of a struggling Newcastle, Head Coach Xisco Muñoz finds his side tipped as one of the leading relegation picks this season. With it looking like their 3-1 win away at a rock-bottom Norwich earlier in the month could have just been a minor boost, Watford also saw their EFL Cup run come to an abrupt end on September 21st. Suffering a 3-1 defeat at home against Championship side Stoke, Saturday’s guests will be calling on Ismaïla Sarr to lead their charge at Elland Road. Bagging three goals in back-to-back Premier League outings, we’re backing both teams to find the net here.
