Competition: La Liga

Odds: 4/5 @ 888sport
Looking to briefly climb into the top-half of the La Liga table, Levante will welcome Real Valladolid to the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia on Friday night.
Starting with the hosts, eventually leaving European outsiders Cadiz with a point to show for their troubles thanks to a dramatic 2-2 draw in midweek, Levante have largely impressed since returning from the festive break earlier in the month. Continuing on their Copa del Rey adventure last weekend away at Segunda outfit Fuenlabrada, the Frogs are enjoying a four-match unbeaten run across all formats. Appearing to have bounced back from that close-fought 2-1 defeat against Villarreal and knowing that victory on Friday night will see them briefly break into the top-half of the table, Paco López’s side have also continued to shine with their performances on home soil. Including victories over both Real Sociedad and Real Betis, Levante have landed four La Liga wins on the bounce at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.
As for the visitors, also managing to pick up their own 2-2 draw at home against Elche earlier in the week, there is no doubt that Real Valladolid will have their sights set on trying to skyrocket their way away from the drop zone. Making the trip to Levante on Friday night holding a two-point buffer over the drop zone, Pucelanos have also impressed since returning from Spain’s festive break. Also extending on their Copa del Rey adventure thanks to a thumping 4-1 victory away at lower-league Peña Deportiva last weekend, Valladolid should also be boosted by their continued success on the road. Including victory over Getafe when opening the New Year, this weekend’s guests have won each of their last three straight contests away from the José Zorrilla Stadium. In a matchup that could see chances at both ends, we’re backing a lively meeting on Friday night.
