Both teams to score at Manchester United vs Valencia 4/5 for Tuesdays Champions League matchup

Competition: Champions League

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/5 @ Bet 365

In desperate need of a win, Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils will welcome La Liga outfit Valencia to Old Trafford for their second matchup in this years Champions League.

Starting with the hosts, it appears Jose Mourinho’s third season syndrome is truly underway. Slumping to an incredibly disappointing 3-1 loss away at West Ham on Saturday, this is now Manchester United’s worst start to a new season in 29 years. Also crashing out of the League Cup at the hands of Championship side Derby, the Reds have now failed to win any of their last three matches in all competitions. While their 3-0 win against Young Boys in their European opener has been a brief happy moment, their defensive issues will be a huge concern for Mourinho. In all competitions, United have now managed to record just two clean sheets so far.

As for the visitors, despite securing a return to Champions League football last season, it has been a slow start for Valencia. While Marcelino García Toral’s side are coming off the back of a 1-0 win over Real Sociedad over the weekend, they have only managed to pick up one domestic victory in all competitions. While the La Liga outfit have lost their last two meetings with United at Old Trafford, they have managed to find the net in each of their visits to Manchester. Backing both teams to score on Tuesday night seems like the safest bet here.
