Enjoying a very eye-catching rise up the Western Conference, a high-flying Minnesota will travel to Quebec in the early hours of Sunday.
Starting with the hosts, while Montreal may have suffered a close-fought 2-1 loss away at defending MLS champions Atlanta last weekend, the mood in Remi Garde’s camp will be on a high. Already rising to third in the Eastern Conference after failing to land a play-off spot last season, a huge part of the Impact’s recent revival has come thanks to their continued showings the Stade Saputo. Picking up back-to-back 2-1 wins over Portland and Seattle, Sunday’s hosts have won three of their last four matches on home soil and have tasted defeat just once in Quebec since the 4th of May.
As for the visitors, putting in yet another dominant display in their commanding 3-1 win against San Jose in midweek, Minnesota have arguably transformed into the MLS in-form side. Watching his side now enjoy a four-match winning run, Head Coach Adrian Heath will be most impressed United’s continued showings in the final third. While the visitors have failed to record a single clean sheet in any of their last seven appearances, Minnesota have scored a staggering 17 goals on their four-match winning run, including a 7-1 win over Cincinnati last month.
Bet: Both teams to score at Montreal Impact vs Minnesota United 4/7 in Sunday’s MLS matchup @ Bet 365
