In a contest that could prove to be another lively meeting in the early hours of Sunday morning, Nashville will welcome Chicago to the Nissan Stadium.
Starting with the hosts, despite putting in what was another impressive display last week, Nashville would have been disappointed to have only collected a point. Throwing away the lead and eventually having to settle for a 2-2 draw against Atlanta on home soil, Head Coach Gary Smith should still find the mood in his camp at a high. Impressing many across the MLS this season and tipped as a leading pick to clinch another Final Series spot in the Eastern Conference, The Yellows are in the midst of a four-match unbeaten run. Despite having to settle for a 2-2 draw against the former champions last time out at the Nissan Stadium, they have largely impressed on home soil. Including a 3-2 victory against Toronto last month, Sunday’s hosts are yet to taste defeat in Tennessee since opening the 2021 campaign.
As for the visitors, while Chicago might have opened the 2021 campaign in the midst of a nightmare run of form, they have really found a much-needed boost over the past three weeks. Finding a route off bottom spot in the Eastern Conference and with the mood in their camp at a season-high, The Fire were last seen putting in another shock display. Managing to build off of that action-packed 3-0 romp against Atlanta earlier in the month, Chicago once again put three past a high-flying Orlando last weekend. Eventually storming their way to a 3-1 win, Raphaël Wicky’s side have collected seven points from their last three MLS matchups. In fact, it should also be noted that Sunday’s guests have scored over 2.5 goals in each of those three consecutive fixtures. In a matchup that could see a host of chances, we’re backing both teams to find the net.
Bet: Both teams to score at Nashville vs Chicago Fire 8/11 for Sunday’s MLS matchup @ 888sport
