Handed the chance to climb to the top of the Eastern Conference, a high-flying NYCFC will welcome New England to Yankee Stadium on Saturday night.

Starting with the hosts, putting in yet another rampant display in their 3-1 win away at Vancouver last weekend, NYCFC have mounted a very eye-catching charge up the Eastern Conference. With former Manchester City coach Domènec Torrent watching his side enjoy a four-match winning, a fifth victory on Saturday would see them leapfrog Philadelphia to top spot. Although New York may have recorded just a single MLS clean sheet since the start of July, they have really started to shine in the final third. Holding the second best-attacking record in the East, the Sky Blues have also bagged 10 goals on their four-match winning run.

As for the visitors, although New England may have managed to extend their unbeaten run at home against Toronto last weekend, fans around Massachusetts have seen their side to record just a single victory since the end of July. Now drawing three of their last four and managing to keep alive their play-off ambitions in the East, Head Coach Bruce Arena will be growing more impressed by his sides form on the road. Remarkably, New England are unbeaten in their previous seven MLS matches away from the Gillette Stadium, including a 3-3 draw away at Seattle last month.
