In what could be an extremely lively encounter in the early hours of Thursday morning, Seattle will welcome Dallas to CenturyLink Field.

Starting with the hosts, while fans around Washington will know that any chance of a late charge for the Western title is firmly off the table, Seattle have continued on a bright end to the year. Now sat second in the West and coming off the back of a dramatic 4-2 win over New York Red Bulls last time out, a huge part of the Greens’ continued rise has come thanks to their form at CenturyLink Field. Including their victory over the Red Bulls last weekend, Brian Schmetzer’ men have secured back-to-back victories in Washington and have scored 11 goals in their last three matches on home soil.

As for the visitors, while back-to-back wins over Cincinnati and Houston may have helped Dallas climb into the top-seven in the West, Luchi Gonzalez’s men came crashing back down to earth last weekend. Shipping four against Chicago on Saturday, fans around Texas are desperate for their side to reclaim their spot in the play-offs. Looking for an immediate response in midweek, you might also be interested to know that Dallas secured a 2-1 win when they last faced off against Seattle back in June. With seven of the last nine combined matches seeing both teams find the net, we’re backing another lively encounter on Thursday.
