Two sides who have a growing reputation for their high-scoring encounters, a struggling Seattle will welcome Vancouver to CenturyLink Field on Sunday.

Starting with the hosts, after crashing out of the US Open Cup at the hands of Portland earlier in the month, Seattle are a side low on both confidence and form. With their Western title dreams taking a huge dent and now sat 11 points adrift of the leading pack, Brian Schmetzer’s men are currently enduring a four-match losing run and have not picked up a single victory since the middle of May. Despite now managing to find the net in each of their last four outings, many around CenturyLink have growing concerns over the Sounders’ defensive issues. Shipping a pair of goals in each pf their previous four defeats, they have also recorded just one clean sheet on home soil since the 7th of April.

As for the visitors, although Head Coach Marc Dos Santos would have been disappointed to have only seen his side pick up back-to-back 2-2 draws against FC Dallas and Colorado, Vancouver are proving a tough test for many across America’s top-tier. Despite taking just a point in five of their last six MLS appearances, the Whites have begun to show some real improvements in the final third and they have continued to shine outside of British Columbia. Managing to take points off the likes of play-off contenders New York RB and Toronto, the visitors are unbeaten in their last four matches on the road, scoring seven goals.
