Looking to cause what would be an upset on the road this weekend, Blackpool will make the trip to Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon when they face off against Sheffield United.
Starting with the hosts, while Sheffield United might have been left sweating over the weekend, they did manage to pick up local bragging rights. Eventually claiming an action-packed 3-2 win against Barnsley at Bramall Lane, the Blades are now trying to seek some stability. Bouncing back from that 2-1 defeat at the hands of Millwall earlier in the month, Slaviša Jokanović’s men still find themselves battling it out in the bottom-half of the Championship table. Really in an uphill battle if they’re to somehow secure an immediate Premier League return this season, the former Fulham boss has seen his side gain a recent reputation for their lively outcomes at both ends of the pitch. It should be noted, Saturday’s hosts have seen each of their last four matchups on either side of the international break finish with both teams finding the net.
As for the visitors, putting in another eye-catching display last weekend, Blackpool have continued to gain a host of plaudits from across the Championship since opening the 2021/22 campaign. Despite only making their second-tier return over the summer, the Oranges have battled their way into the top-half of the table. Last seen picking up a deserved 2-0 victory against Preston on home soil, Neil Critchley’s men have collected nine points from their last four Championship contests. With that run highlighted by a 3-2 victory against play-off hopefuls Reading on October 20th, Blackpool have lost just one of their last seven outings, a run that stems back to the middle of September. It should be noted, with Saturday’s guests seeing all seven of their away fixtures finish with both teams finding the net, we’re backing a similar outcome here.
Bet: Both teams to score at Sheffield United vs Blackpool 5/6 for Saturday’s Championship battle @ 888sport
