Both teams to score at West Ham vs Manchester United 7/10 for Sunday’s Premier League contest

Competition: Premier League

Odds: 7/10 @ 888sport

Looking to cause what would be an upset at the London Stadium this weekend, West Ham will welcome Manchester United to the capital on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, making their first European group stage appearance on Thursday evening, West Ham put in what was an eye-catching display on foreign soil. Cruising their way to a deserved 2-0 win against Dinamo Zagreb, David Moyes should find the mood in his camp at a real high. Despite having to settle for back-to-back stalemates against Crystal Palace and Southampton on either side of the international break, the former United boss is yet to see his side taste defeat so far this season. While the Hammers might be unable to call upon attacking talisman Michail Antonio this weekend, West Ham are enjoying a real purple patch. Continuing to build off of their stellar campaign last season, Sunday’s hosts might be smelling the chance here to cause an upset in front of what should be a vocal home support in East London.

As for the visitors, while West Ham might have opened their European run with a statement in midweek, the same cannot be said for Manchester United. Throwing away the lead out in Switzerland and hit with a stunning last-gasp 2-1 defeat against Young Boys, the Reds know they missed a golden chance on their Champions League opener. Failing to build off of their thumping 4-1 win at home against Newcastle when returning from the international break, the former Premier League champions have landed just a single clean sheet since opening the 2021/22 campaign. However, needing an immediate boost in the capital, United do have one returning icon enjoying an early-season romp. Making his Old Trafford return last weekend with a brace against the Magpies, Cristiano Ronaldo also got himself on the scoresheet on European duties in midweek.
