QPR striker Jay Bothroyd wants to frustrate league leaders Manchester City to get a result on Saturday.
City visit Loftus Road having won nine of their opening 10 Premier League matches, but Bothroyd hopes QPR can pull off another shock result following their win over Chelsea two weekends ago.
“We’re under no illusions that Man City are a world-class side, but we have to make it difficult for them,” Bothroyd told the Fulham Chronicle.
“We have to frustrate them as much as we can and try and nick a goal.”
“They’re the kind of games you look forward to because you’re playing against some of the best players in the world and you’ve got to try and embrace that.”
Bothroyd took encouragement from other promoted sides of the past few seasons, citing Blackpool as an example of an unfashionable team that achieved some unexpected results.
“On any day if a team doesn’t turn up they can be turned over,” he said.
“Blackpool showed that last year and others will this year. The Premier League is the best league in the world because anyone can beat anyone.”
