Premier League new boys Bournemouth are set to move for Queens Park Rangers’ defender Steven Caulker, according to the Mirror.
The 23 year old was unable to help save the Hoops from an immediate return to the second tier last season, while he was also relegated with Cardiff City twelve months earlier.
However, Cherries boss Eddie Howe is keen to secure the one time England international’s services as he looks to build a squad that can compete in the top flight.
Caulker came through the ranks at Spurs, but has remarkably spent the last six seasons playing for six different teams.
Prior to his move to Cardiff in 2013, the centre-back had season-long loan spells with Swansea City, Bristol City and Yeovil Town while all of his appearances for Tottenham came in the 2012/13 campaign.
As well as his one senior appearance for England, he has ten caps at U21 level and was also part of Great Britain’s squad for the 2012 Olympic Games.
