Arsenal fans are feeling pretty optimistic about their chances in the Premier League this season and it isn’t hard to see why based on how they performed in their first two games. In the wake of that, as they prepared to travel down south to take on Bournemouth, many wondered whether or not this could be a potential banana peel moment.

In the end, it wasn’t, with the Gunners pushing out to an impressive 3-0 lead to ensure they maintained their 100% record.

Today, we’re going to take a look at a few things we took away from Vitality Stadium.

Jesus’ magic

Gabriel Jesus was playing on a completely different level to almost everyone else on the pitch and that’s a testament to just how much he feels like he has to prove since arriving from Manchester City. His build-up play is great, he isn’t greedy, and we’re pretty sure he doesn’t stop running for the entire 90 minutes. He’s been the perfect frontman for this side and we’re intrigued to see where they go from here with him leading the line.

Bournemouth sinking?

Bournemouth looked good on the opening weekend against Aston Villa but since then, they’ve somewhat fallen off the side of a very small cliff. Of course, there’s a long way to go and they were simply outclassed in this game, but there didn’t really seem to be much drive behind them trying to get back into proceedings. Scott Parker said he didn’t like their ‘demeanour’ and it’s not difficult to see why.

Arsenal’s consistency

Throughout the core of their squad, Arsenal are starting to kick things up a notch – and that speaks volumes to how hard Mikel Arteta has worked to implement his style and strategy within this squad. He knows how difficult it is to win and do so consistently and ahead of the busy European and World Cup schedule, he wants to put as many points on the board as he possibly can.
