Aaron Ramsdale seems to be on his way back to Sheffield United after Bournemouth accepted a bid from the Premier League club. According to BBC Sport, the Blades made an offer of £18.5 million for the 22-year-old goalkeeper, and the Cherries have accepted it.
Ramsdale started his professional club football career at United before making the move to Bournemouth in 2017. However, with the Cherries to play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League, the youngster is on his way back to the Blades, who will continue life in the top flight of English football in 2020-21.
Dean Henderson was the first-choice goalkeeper at United last season and played brilliantly, as Chris Wilder’s side narrowly missed out on a Europa League spot. However, Henderson is back at his parent club Manchester United now, and it seems that Ramsdale will replace him in the starting lineup next season.
