Bournemouth contemplate legal action and compensation demands against Premier League ‘hawkeye’ system (Video)

Aston Villa drew 0-0 at home against Sheffield United in their first game back from the pandemic-caused break in a highly controversial game. The ball had crossed their goal-line at one point, but the ‘hawkeye’ system failed to signal the goal to referee Michael Oliver. At the end of the season, Villa escaped relegation by finishing a single point above Bournemouth, who now feel they might have stayed up themselves if the goal had been given.

The Cherries are now considering taking the issue to court.

Here’s the footage of the incident itself.
