Bournemouth eyeing Davies move

The Mirror understands that Premier League strugglers Bournemouth are keen on signing Hull City centre-back Curtis Davies.

The Cherries are without a win in six league games, taking just one point in that run and conceding sixteen goals.

Only Sunderland have a worse defensive record in the division, and manager Eddie Howe is eyeing reinforcements ahead of the transfer window reopening in January.

Davies’ current deal with the Tigers expires at the end of the season and his future at the club is far from certain.

He lost his place in Steve Bruce’s side for the final three months of the 2014/15 campaign as Yorkshire outfit dropped back down to the Championship and whilst he has been recalled this season, he has lost the captaincy to defensive partner Michael Dawson.

Bournemouth travel to Swansea City on Saturday afternoon, and the away win can be backed at a price of 7/2.
