Bournemouth are lining up a £6m move for Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle, according to the Mirror.
Cherries manager Eddie Howe is on the lookout for a forward, with Callum Wilson out for the majority of the campaign with an ACL injury.
Gayle was linked with a move to Bristol City in the summer but remained with the south London side though he has barely featured this season.
The former Peterborough United man has made just four Premier League starts, while all four of his goals have come in the League Cup – a haul which includes a hat-trick in the third round win over Charlton Athletic.
In total, the former non-league player has hit twenty-two goals in sixty-four games for the Eagles in all competitions.
Alan Pardew welcomes his former side Newcastle United to Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon and the home win can be backed at a price of 7/10.
