Bournemouth’s Fraser ‘keeping his options open’

Speaking to the press prior to his team’s defeat at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said Ryan Fraser was ‘keeping his options open’.

Fraser played the full game at the Vitality on Saturday, but he was only able to assist Steve Cook in scoring the consolation goal in the 59th minute, after Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez put the visitors two goals ahead in the first half.

The winger’s contract expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool recently, though Liverpool have apparently denied any interest in his services in relation to the January transfer window. Howe expressed his hope that the Scotland international will sign a new deal before the current one runs out, but at the moment, Fraser appears reluctant to commit to the club past next summer.

If they cannot convince him to put pen to paper, Bournemouth will have to make the best of his services for the rest of the season and accept his departure when the time comes.
