Boyata set to join Celtic
Scottish Premier League champions Celtic have a deal in place to sign Dedryck Boyata from Manchester City, BBC Sport has learned.
The Bhoys reportedly had a transfer offer of around £1.5 million accepted by the Etihad outfit and they expect to wrap up the deal by the end of the day.
Boyata is already in Glasgow and he should put pen to paper on a long-term deal with the Scottish giants later today.
The 24-year-old joined Manchester City from Brussels back in 2006, but he has since largely struggled to prove his worth to the club.
Boyata only went on to make 13 Premier League appearances for the Citizens, while also enjoying loan spells with Bolton Wanderers and Twente.
The Belgian defender can operate at centre-back and right-back, and he is set to become the first signing of the summer for Celtic.
Lile star talks up summer exit
Lille hotshot Idrissa Gueye has confirmed that he hopes to leave the club for greener pastures this summer.
Raised in the club’s youth academy, the 25-year-old has developed into a key player at Grand Stade Lille Metropole over the years, but the latest reports suggest he may have played his final game for les Dogues.
Gueye admits that he is considering his options, with summer exit clearly a realistic possibility.
“There are contacts, there will be offers, I will study everything and decide what suits me best,” Gueye confessed to La Voix du Nord.
And having been linked with the likes of Southampton and West Ham, the highly rated midfielder cites English Premier League as his favourite destination.
“Everyone knows that England is a league that attracts me, although I am not against (moving to) other championships.”
The Senegalese footballer has so far made 134 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring 5 goals in the process, with the past season his most successful up to date.
Porto eyeing Danilo Pereira
FC Porto are stepping up their efforts to sign Maritimo midfielder Danilo Pereira, according to A Bola.
The Dragons could see several star players leave this summer and they are already working on potential reinforcements.
Having closely monitored Danilo Pereira’s performances this season, Porto officials are ready to try and bring him to Estadio do Dragao.
A Bola has learned that Maritimo would have no problems cashing in on their prized asset if their valuation is matched.
Danilo Pereira, 23, began his professional career at Parma, but he went on to join Maritimo on a free transfer two years ago.
The holding midfielder has since made 57 league appearances and scored 4 goals, while being handed his Portugal debut in March this year.
