(GSM) – Sporting Braga needed just one goal to beat Rio Ave in Saturday’s Portuguese league action, while Porto earned a 1-2 win at Academica.

Second-placed Braga needed a win to keep pressure on league leaders Benfica, and got exactly that thanks to a 16th-minute goal from Andres Madrid.

As such, Braga join Benfica at the top, but the Lisbon side do still have their away game to Nacional to go on Sunday.

Porto came back from behind to beat Academica in the city of Coimbra. Modou Sougou put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute, but Bruno Alves equalised three minutes later and Cristian Rodriguez netted the winner with three minutes left in regular time.
