Sporting Braga coach Domingos Paciencia wants his team to attack from the outset as they aim for a Europa League win over Liverpool.
Leading 1-0 on aggregate and heading to Anfield for the second leg in the round of 16 does not daunt Paciencia.
The Braga boss said his team would go out in search of goals with a strong advantage having not conceded at home in the first leg.
“Whether home or away we always try to score and that will be the main aim tomorrow,” Paciencia said.
“The best approach is to be aware of our possibilities and chances.”
“If we get through it will be history for Braga.”
Pacienca believes his team can complete the job against the English Premier League outfit.
“We are well aware it will be a different match from the first one,” he said.
“We know Liverpool are a good team but for them to go through they have to score two goals.”
The last time Braga were on English soil they were handed a 6-0 thrashing by Arsenal in the Champions League.
Paciencia admitted he got things wrong for that match and he and the players are better for the experience.
“We know that was not a good experience for the players,” he said.
“Whether we lose or win the responsibility is with me. I have to put them on the pitch.”
“We probably didn’t have the best approach last time.”
