(GSM) – Sporting Braga are still serious title contenders following a 2-1 win over Maritimo Funchal in Sunday’s Portuguese league action.

Cameroon’s Meyong Ze put Braga in the lead after 51 minutes but things seemed to be going wrong for the hosts when Djalma levelled the score shortly after the hour mark.

But Sporting had the final say at AXA Stadium as Uruguayan Luis Aguilar netted the winning goal with nine minutes to go in regular time.

Sporting are just one point behind Benfica and played one game less than their rivals.
