Branislav Ivanovic prefers Fulham to Everton

Fulham are more appealing than Everton to Branislav Ivanovic, according to Bleacher Report. The former Chelsea defender is leaving Zenit Saint Petersburg and will become a free agent, and both Fulham and Everton have been linked with him.

The 36-year-old Serbia international defender is reportedly keen on the idea of playing one final year in the Premier League, having starred for Chelsea in England from 2008 until 2017. During his time at Stamford Bridge, the right-back won the Premier League and the FA Cup title each, and the Champions League and the UEFA Europa League once each.

Although Everton have made contact through representatives and are interested in signing Ivanovic on a free transfer this summer, the veteran defender prefers a move to Fulham, as he already knows West London and will get to play with his Serbian compatriot Aleksandar Mitrovic. The Cottagers will play in the Premier League next season after winning promotion from the Championship via the playoffs.
