Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna says it has reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid to transfer its Brazilian international defender Filipe Luis to the Europa League champions.
The 24-year-old, who joined Deportivo in 2006, passed his medical tests to complete the deal, it said in a statement posted on its website.
The club did not provide financial details or the length of his contract but Spanish media said the player had signed for five years in a deal worth between 10 and 12 million euros (12.8 and 15.4 million dollars).
Filipe made his debut for Brazil in a World Cup qualifier against Venezuela on October 15 but his hopes of playing in the tournament in South Africa were dashed after he broke his right ankle in January.
