Brazil and Ghana are the two finalists at this year’s World Youth Championship. Costa Rica and Hungary were left behind in the tournament’s semi final stage.

It wasn’t an easy match for tournament favorites Brazil against Costa Rica, and it took until the 67th minute for Alan Kardec to score what turned out to be the winning goal at Cairo International Stadium.

Earlier on the day, Ghana beat Hungary 3-2 after taking a comfortable lead in the first half.

Dominic Adiyiah was of great importance to the Africans as the forward scored in the 10th and 31st minute. Marko Futacs pulled one back in minute 73 but Adeiku Quansah restored the gap eight minutes later.

Adam Balajti made it 3-2 in the 84th minute, but this would also be the final score.

Ahead of the final, which is scheduled for Friday, October 16, it is as good as certain that Adiyiah wins the top scorer award as the 19-year-old scored an impressive eight goals in six games.
