Brazil beat Ireland in London friendly

(GSM) – Brazil appear to be in good shape with three months to go to the World Cup. In a London friendly, the Republic of Ireland were beaten 2-0.

The five-times world champions met Ireland at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, where an own goal from Blackburn Rovers midfielder Keith Andrews put Brazil in the lead on 44 minutes.

And in the 76th, it was Robinho to add a second to set the score to 2-0.

Brazil begin their World Cup campaign against Korea DPR on June 15, followed by encounters with Cote d’Ivoire and Portugal.

The Republic of Ireland made it to the UEFA play-offs but were controversially knocked out by France.
