The Brazilian Under 20 team are considered favorites to win the upcoming World Youth Championships in Egypt. The South Americans are closely followed by Germany and Italy.

This year’s edition of the tournament has no clear favorite, as Brazil’s chances of winning the trophy are considered to be only a little bigger than those of the Germans and the Italians.

The Spanish youth side are expected to at least make it to the semi finals, while hosts Egypt aren’t given much of a chance to survive the round of sixteen.

Argentina, who won the last two editions of the tournament, failed to qualify this time around. Czech Republic, losing finalists in 2007, are present however and are expected to at least reach the quarter final stage.

The most exotic team to participate in this tournament is Tahiti. Of 24 nations, the Polynesian island state is the least favored to lift the trophy in Cairo on October 16.
