Brazil move into first place in the South American World Cup qualifiers thanks to a convincing 0-4 victory in Uruguay.
Dani Alves put the ‘seleçao’ ahead on 11 minutes and Juan added a second ten minutes before half time.
Luis Fabiano made it 0-3 seven minutes into the second half but was handed a second yellow card shortly after. A penalty from Kaka however, set the score to 0-4 in minute 74.
Uruguay will have to play their next match without Maximiliano Pereira, who was sent off with four minutes to play.
Brazil now share the lead with Paraguay, who could however restore their original advantage against Chile later this Saturday. Uruguay are in fifth place and feel the pressure from several other sides.
