Atletico Mineiro starlet Bernard has added fuel to speculations linking him with a summer switch to Tottenham Hotspur.
The 20-year-old has shown a great deal of potential over the last years or so and he has in turn been linked with a summer move to Europe.
Borussia Dortmund and FC Porto are believed to be keen on the talented footballer, but Bernard’s representative has revealed that Tottenham are the only side that have been in contact so far.
“Dortmund have not submitted a proposal and Tottenham are the only contenders,” agent Hissa Moyses explained to O Jogo.
It is no secret Spurs officials are hoping to inject some creativity into the squad this summer and they will attempt to lure Bernard to White Hart Lane.
Atletico Mineiro’s €25 million asking price is likely to prove a huge problem, but Spurs plan to try and lower the amount.
Bernard has clocked up a total of 84 league appearances for the Brazilian side, scoring no less than 17 goals.
