Internacional warmed up for the Club World Cup with a 3-0 victory at relegation-bound Gremio Prudente on Thursday.

Inter signed off on their Brazilian campaign in style, putting three goals past Gremio and finishing with a total of 58 points on the Serie A table.

Alecsandro put the visitors ahead in the 16th minute, meeting Kleber’s cross in space and heading past Gremio goalkeeper Sidney.

Former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Tinga made it 2-0 seven minutes later, collecting Alecsandro’s header and calmly firing into the back of the net.

Brazil Under-20 international Giuliano sealed the victory in the 81st minute, one-timing a crossed ball into the upper-left corner past a diving Sidney.

As it stands Inter are in sixth place on the Serie A table, though they could finish as low as eighth depending on results from the last round.

Celso Roth’s men now turn their attention to the Club World Cup, with the Copa Libertadores champions due to face either Congolese club TP Mezembe or Mexico’s Pachuca in Abu Dhabi on December 14.

For Gremio, the loss draws to an end a forgettable top-flight campaign, with Fabio Giuntini’s men destined to finish last on the table with a mere 28 points and drop to the second division next season.
