Sao Paulo kept up the pressure on Brazilian Serie A leaders Corinthians as they consigned Internacional to their third straight loss on Sunday.
The 3-0 win away from home at the Estadio Jose Pinheiro Borba means Sao Paulo remain four points behind Corinthians, who have a game in hand, while Inter slip to eighth after their third loss in a row.
Casimiro kicked things off for the visitors with a goal in the 19th minute, and Fernandinho added a second for Sao Paulo six minutes before half time.
Carlinhos Paraiba wrapped up the victory with a third goal in the 90th minute.
Two goals in each half helped Ceara thrash America Mineiro 4-0 at the Estadio Municipal Presidente Getulio Vargas.
Washington scored either side of half time after Fabricio netted the opener after 32 minutes, before Felipe Azevedo put the icing on the cake with a fourth eight minutes from time.
America remain second last on the table with one win for the season, while Ceara move up to ninth.
Elsewhere, a brace from Wallyson helped Cruzeiro register a 2-1 win over Bahia.
The Brazilian striker found the back of the net after just four minutes at the Estadio Joaquim Henrique Nogueira, but Bahia were level 10 minutes later thanks to a goal from Jobson.
But Wallyson put Cruzeiro back in front seven minutes into the second half, a lead which they maintained until the final whistle.
