Real Madrid have sacked Santiago Solari from the head coach position and confirmed the second appointment of Zinedine Zidane.
The Frenchman, who in his playing days won the Champions League with the club, as well as the 1998 World Cup and 2000 European Championship with his national team, left Santiago Bernabeu last summer having secured their third consecutive Champions League trophy.
Since then, the club had appointed Julen Lopetegui, former Spain coach as his replacement, but they parted ways with him quickly and in turn replaced him with Solari.
Solari, however, didn’t do any better and after the club left the Champions League and the Copa del Rey under his leadership of the team, they decided to part ways with him too and have successfully lured Zidane back.
Club president Florentino Perez will address the media together with Zidane from the Santiago Bernabeu press room this evening.
