Bremen loan Niemeyer out to Hertha

Werder Bremen midfielder Peter Niemeyer has joined Hertha Berlin BSC on a season long loan. The former Germany U-21 international has found opportunities hard to come by at Bremen and will be hoping to get some regular football under his belt at Hertha.

Hertha were in the Bundesliga last season but were relegated following a poor 09/10 season. Should Hertha earn promotion back to the Bundesliga, they can sign Niemeyer on a permanent basis.

Niemeyer joined Werder from FC Twente in the 06/07 winter transfer window. He has made only 32 appearances for the club in the last three years.
