Brentford 8/11 to beat Hull City in Saturday’s Championship clash

Competition: Championship

Market: Brentford win

Odds: 8/11 @ Bet 365

Looking to put their FA Cup heartbreak behind them, Brentford will welcome a struggling Hull side to Griffin Park on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with Thomas Franks’ Brentford side, despite seeing their FA Cup run come to and end in South Wales last weekend, fans around Griffin Park should be impressed by the Bees’ Championship resurge. Picking up a 1-0 win over Aston Villa last week, Saturday’s hosts have now won four of their last five second-tier appearances. Also yet to be beaten in London since the start of December, one man who has continued to shine for Brentford is leading goalscorer Neal Maupay. The 22-year-old already has 21 goals this season, including three in his last three at Griffin Park.

As for Nigel Adkins’ side, while Hull might have been dreaming of a surprise playoff push last month, the Tigers have once again gone off the boil. Throwing away a 2-0 lead against relegation contenders Rotherham last week, Saturday’s visitors have now managed to win just one of their last five Championship matchups. It will be Hull’s recent defensive issues giving Adkins the biggest headache. The Tigers have now shipped two or more goals in each of their last four matches away from the KCOM Stadium.
