Two sides looking to put their Premier League ambitions aside, Brighton will look to carry on their impressive record at the Amex when they host a struggling Southampton side on Tuesday night.

Starting with The Seagulls, while Tuesdays hosts are coming off the back of a 1-0 loss at Anfield last Saturday, Chris Houghton’s side once again impressed. Renowned for being an incredibly hard side to break down, along with keeping Moh Salah’s chances limited, Brighton are still on a high from their historic win over Manchester United. Putting three past Jose Mourinho’s side in their last appearance at the Amex, the South coast side are also unbeaten in their last six home matches.

As for Mark Hughes’ Southampton side, while the former Stoke boss may have led The Saints to Premier League safety last season, it has been another difficult start to the new campaign. Now the bookies favorite to be the first manager to get the chop, Southampton are coming off the back of a 2-1 loss to Leicester last weekend and now losing their last two on the bounce, Hughes’ side are still to pick up a win this season. Given the poor form for the visitors, we’re backing another difficult evening against a resilient Brighton side.
