Brighton and Hove Albion are ready to make a move to sign Liverpool stalwart Lucas Leiva, according to the Mirror.
The Seagulls are preparing for their first season in the Premier League and manager Chris Hughton is looking to add some experience to his side who finished as Championship runners up behind Newcastle United.
The thirty year old is out of contract in the summer and may be interested in searching for more regular first team football, though he has proved to be a valuable member of Jurgen Klopp’s side this season despite only starting a third of the Reds’ league games so far.
In total, the Brazilian midfielder has made close to three hundred and fifty appearances for the Merseyside outfit in all competitions, scoring seven goals – the last of which coming in the FA Cup third round replay victory over Plymouth Argyle at Home Park back in January.
