According to Melissa Reddy of Sky Sports, Brighton and Hove Albion expect offers exceeding £70 million for Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister each this summer. It is the sum they rejected when Arsenal wanted Caicedo in January. Both midfielders are under long-term contracts (Caicedo until 2027, Mac Allister 2025), believed not to contain any release clauses, and given the demand for their services in the transfer market, the Seagulls are determined to get their full value if sell they must.
Both Caicedo and Mac Allister have been absolutely vital for Brighton this term, as Roberto De Zerbi’s team reached the semifinal of the FA Cup while enjoying a very good season in the Premier League. They may yet be playing European football next season; even the Champions League isn’t completely out of their reach at this point, though it does seem unlikely.
Arsenal are believed to be interested still in Caicedo, while Liverpool reportedly continue to push to sign Mac Allister after giving up on Jude Bellingham.
