Competition: Championship
Market: Bristol City win
Odds: 4/5 @ Bet 365
Transforming into arguably the Championship’s most in form side, Bristol City will welcome a struggling QPR to Ashton Gate on Tuesday night.
Starting with Lee Johnson’s Bristol City side, picking up an impressive 1-0 win away at Blackburn on Saturday, few would have expected the Robins’ form entering 2019. Now with the chance to jump as high as fourth in the table and shore up their playoff positions, Tuesday’s hosts have remarkably now won their last eight matches on the bounce. Also booking their spot in the fifth round of the FA Cup, Johnson’s side are yet to be beaten in any competitions since the end of November. Winning their last five matches at Ashton Gate, City should be confident of extending that run in midweek.
While the hosts might be enjoying an impressive resurge in 2019, the same can not be said for QPR. Slumping to a 4-3 loss at home to Birmingham over the weekend, former England boss Steve McClaren has seen his side lose their last four league appearances on the bounce. Freefalling out of the top half of the table, it will be QPR’s recent defensive issues becoming the biggest concern for fans in West London. The Hoops have failed to record a single clean sheet in the second half of the season and they have also now shipped 11 goals over the past month.
