Welsh keeper Jason Brown looks set to leave Blackburn Rovers this summer in search for more first-team action.
The 27-year-old has struggled behind Paul Robinson in the pecking order at Ewood Park and is prepared to drop down a division to get regular action.
“Maybe an exit is inevitable. Paul Robinson looks to be No.1 and you can’t get away from the fact I want to be playing regular football, whether that be here or somewhere else only time will tell,†Brown told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
“If that is the manager’s decision then that will be and if an opportunity comes up to go somewhere else then I would have to look at that seriously.
“I will have to go away, have a think in the summer with the family and see what options are there.,†added the Welshman.
“If there is an option to go and play somewhere I will have to have a discussion with the manager and the club.
“I would consider dropping into the Championship. I have to be a realist, I am not going to walk straight into a Premier League team.”
