According to Tuttosport, Marcelo Brozovic is set to sign a new deal with Inter Milan after much speculation over his future. His new contract will see him remain at the San Siro until 2021, with his release clause for clubs outside of Serie A being heightened to €70 million. It always felt like his true desire was to stay at Inter as opposed to moving elsewhere, and now, it appears as if that’s been confirmed.
Brozovic had been eager to secure a new deal in the wake of a thoroughly successful World Cup with the Croatian national team, with his salary set to go up too. Inter appear to be rebuilding themselves as a strong Champions League side, and locking their current stars down to new deals is a big part of that.
The 25 year old joined Inter back in 2015 from Dinamo Zagreb, where he had spent three years of his career between 2012 and 2015.
