Major League Soccer is heating up. As most European leagues are slowly getting done, MLS are just getting closer to the middle of the campaign. And that means that the summer ahead will be filled with action, but that action already came to New England.
The Revs have started poorly this campaign and head coach Brad Friedel paid the price. Also, General Manager Mike Burns was relieved of his duties, as New England conceded 18 goals in the last four matches, winning just one point in a crazy 4-4 draw.
Now ESPN report that Bruce Arena will be taking over at New England in some capacity. It is unclear if the Revs will name Arena as head coach, general manager or both as the club looks to fill both vacancies, but what is clear is that Arena has been out of work since failing to lead the USA to the World Cup in Russia last summer.
